WV National Guard Members Headed to Iraq

WV National Guard members are headed to Iraq for aviation operations, according to The Charleston Gazette.
The brigade-sized combat aviation unit known as Task Force 34 has 2,700-plus National Guards troops from the states of Minnesota, Florida, Iowa, Louisiana, Missouri, New York, South Carolina, Texas, West Virginia and Oklahoma.

CAC Sculptures

Olympic Baseball

A former WVU baseball player, Jeremy Cummings, will be pitching for the U.S. Olympic Team, according to MSNsportsNET.Com.
Cummings, who played at WVU from 1996-99, makes his debut with the team on Aug. 1-4 when the U.S. squad plays four exhibition games against Canada. The team enters Olympic competition in Beijing, China, on Aug. 13-23.

Rodriguez to Pay Up

According to The Daily Athenaeum, WVU’s student newspaper, Rodriguez agreed late Tuesday night to pay the entire $4 million that was in his contract.
