Death Threat Fliers Against Manchin and WVU BOG
In the wake of WVU’s degree scandal involving Heather Bresch, the daughter of Gov. Manchin, someone expressed their sentiment through threatening fliers in an Evansdale campus building.
According to the Charleston Daily Mail, WVU Police removed fliers from the university’s engineering building that read “Kill Joe Manchin” and “Kill a WVU BOG member today.”
WVU Police Chief Bob Roberts said they do not know who printed the fliers, which were taped to the walls and newspaper racks. He shared the incident details with state police, since some of the threats involved the governor. No crime has been committed, Roberts said, but police would not like the word “kill” used in light of events like the Virginia Tech shootings.
