Cheesecake in a Tub
Have you tried the Philadelphia Ready to Eat Cheesecake Filling? I hadn’t until I got a random cheesecake craving last night! It’s light with a great flavor, and has a hint of whipped cream taste to its mix. It’s intended to be purchased with a 9 inch pie crust, making yourself an instant cheesecake, but when I tried it I dished a small portion into a bowl (like ice-cream) and ate it that way. Great for getting a cheesecake fix without actually having to bake a cheesecake (or needing to eat an entire slice).
Typically this container costs close to $5, but Morgantown residents can give this delightful treat a try at only $1.50. Giant Eagle at University Town Centre has the filling on sale at the moment, at 2/$5 (you don’t need to buy 2). And if you go to coupons.com, you can print a $1 off coupon (you need to install a quick printer program that tracks what coupons you’ve printed, so you can’t get doubles - it’ll prompt you when you go to print). Wala, $1.50 cheesecake goodness.
As the other Red has said, happy spoon licking.
