Kiwi! Redux
Quite a while ago, I don’t remember exactly where, I remember seeing the fabulous “Kiwi!” animated short. It’s about sacrificing yourself to achieve a dream, and is a bittersweet video to watch. The animation is excellent.
More recently, I came across a YouTube video titled “Re: Kiwi,” a video from a different author as a response to the original video. So I watched it. The animation isn’t quite the same, but it works to do what it intended:
No, it’s not as poignant a message, and the original still does what it intended to do better. Still, I have to admit, I love happy endings.
