Did someone say free calendar?
If you stop by your county’s WVU Extension office, you can get a free copy of the WVU Extension Garden calendar.
“Every year, WVU Extension agriculture and nutrition specialists prepare easy-to-follow steps on how to grow, store and use fruits and vegetables. Lawns, ornamentals and houseplants also are included among the timely tip boxes.”
Even if you’re not into gardening yourself, you may find the calendar useful, since this year’s theme centers around farmers markets and fresh produce:
“Armchair gardeners, in particular, will appreciate Extension educators’ advice on how to locate farmers markets, shop for fresh produce and keep food safe to eat.”
WVU News and Information states that you can get a copy from your local extension office. While the online site did not provide directions to the local Mon County office, its mailing address is:
26 Commerce Drive, WesMon Plaza
which is located just off I-79 in Westover.
